Sheldon Jackson has been all over the news in recent times and on Saturday in game one of the new IPL season, Sheldon Jackson was handed the gloves by Kolkata Knight Riders and it proved to be a masterstroke with the wicketkeeper shining with some spectacular work behind the stumps.
The incident here happened in the eighth over of the CSK innings with Robin Uthappa having resurrected Chennai’s innings after the early blow of losing Ruturaj Gaikwad for a duck.
Varun Chakravarthy, who was smashed for a six over extra cover earlier in the over by Rayudu, got one to sneak down the leg side of Robin Uthappa. The batter missed the ball while outside the crease, and Sheldon Jackson, moving across rapidly, took off the bails in a flash even as the ball was turning down the leg.

Sheldon Jackson and his magic hands quickly earned praise all over social media with fans praising the gloveman for his impeccable wicketkeeping and sharp glovework.
But the best praise came from Sachin Tendulkar himself who praised Jackson for his rapid stumping, comparing the KKR keeper to MS Dhoni.
That was an outstanding stumping. @ShelJackson27’s speed reminded me of @msdhoni.
Lightning fast!!

The stumping gave KKR a firm grip in the game with Uthappa standing between them and a vulnerable CSK middle-order. His wicket saw KKR make further inroads and swiftly turn the game their way.
