Pakistan speedster Haris Rauf ended up slapping a teammate during his celebrations for a breakthrough this Monday (February 21). The shocking incident came to light while Rauf was playing for Lahore Qalandars in their final league stage fixture of PSL 2022 against Peshawar Zalmi.
The celebrations were in play for the wicket of opposition opener Mohammad Haris, whom Rauf got out pulling the ball through the deep fine-leg region. As the bouncer from the right-arm seamer got too big on Haris, all he could manage to do is to top-edge it to the catching fielder.
Immediately, Haris Rauf and rest of the Qalandars fielding unit jumped up in celebration and this is when the pacer was seen giving a minor slap to Kamran Ghulam, Qalandars’ top-order batter.

Haris Rauf unleashed his anger via a slap on Lahore Qalandars teammate.
It is because of a dropped catch earlier in the over when Ghulam let go of an absolute dolly. Fielding at point in the first over of the Zalmi innings, Ghulam failed to grab a ball that took the leading edge off the bat of Hazratullah Zazai and spooned up at a comfortable height towards the fielder.
Only three balls later, Haris Rauf got Zazai’s opening partner out and unleashed his wrath on Ghulam, who had only walked up to him to congratulate for the wicket.

But despite the slap from Haris Rauf, it seemed all was cool between him and Ghulam.
The fielder didn’t take offence to the bowler’s moment of anger and still congratulated him again for the breakthrough.
Ghulam’s patience and understanding ensured the matter didn’t escalate when things could easily have gone worst.
Rauf’s act of slapping a teammate, no matter the circumstances, was not at all acceptable and could’ve led to a serious disciplinary action from PSL authorities.
