The Trailblazers, Supernovas, and the Velocity, led by Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur, and Mithali Raj are set to be back in action from the 4th of November, the date set by the BCCI for the commencement of the Women’s T20 Challenge 2020. Both the squads for the three teams and the schedule have been announced, with the venue yet to be decided upon.
The three teams will play three round-robin matches among themselves on November 4, 5 and 7 with the final being played on the 9th. The Supernovas will face the Velocity on the 4th, the Velocity and the Trailblazers will face off the following day, and the Trailblazers and Supernovas will play each other on the 7th. All the matches are set to begin at 7:30 PM (IST).

The All-India Women’s Selection Committee named the three squads, including four overseas players in each team. Chamari Athapaththu, Shashikala Siriwardene, Shakera Selman, and Ayabonga Khaka are part of Supernovas. Deandra Dottin, Sophie Ecclestone and Salma Khatun have been named in the Trailblazers team, which also includes Natthakan Chantham – the first Thailand cricketer to feature in the tournament. Danielle Wyatt, Leigh Kasperek, Sune Luus and Jahanara Alam are part of the Velocity team.
