RR vs SRH – The fortieth match of the IPL 2020 tournament between the teams, Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad, could all be about match-ups. We take a look at a key game plan that could play a role in the fortieth game of the IPL – RR vs SRH
Poor death bowling is not something one can easily associate with the Sunrisers Hyderabad, thanks to the consistency shown by the bowling-heavy side over the past 4 years or so.
However, things have changed this season, with Kaul and Sandeep’s form tapering off and Bhuvneshwar Kumar getting injured mid-season. Though Natarajan has done well and has been impressive with his yorkers, SRH have been far from effective at the death overs this season.

In death overs, SRH bowlers have conceded 2 runs per over more this season as compared to the last couple of seasons and have conceded almost 8 runs more per dismissal. Moreover, SRH bowlers have the second-worst economy this season with only KXIP bowlers being more expensive than them at the death.
The major cause of worry for SRH is the gap between their batting and bowling during the death overs. While the bowlers have been on the expensive side, their batsmen have the lowest runs per over in death overs this season.

SRH batsmen have scored 2.29 runs per over less than what their bowlers have conceded in Overs 16-20 this season; only Kings XI Punjab have a bigger difference. The batsmen need to capitalize on the death overs and score at at least 10 runs per over to make a match of it and they will fancy their chances against this RR bowling attack more than any other attack this season.
