The 20th match of the 2020 Indian Premier League sees the Mumbai Indians (MI) take on the Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. While Mumbai Indians go into this game flying high on their victory over the Sunrisers Hyderabad at Sharjah on the day before yesterday, Rajasthan Royals are coming off a defeat against the Royal Challengers Bangalore on this venue on Saturday.
Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals are both level on 10 wins in the 21 encounters with each other, with one game being washed out way back in 2009. The last 5 games have been heavily lopsided towards the Royals, with the 2008 IPL champions winning all 5 of them.
Unless there are any last-minute injuries or inconveniences, we will get to see an unchanged Mumbai Indians line-up, despite Nathan Coulter-Nile’s fitness status.
Probable XI: Quinton de Kock (wk), Rohit Sharma (c), Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Kieron Pollard, Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, James Pattinson, Rahul Chahar, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah
The Royals would have desperately wanted the services of Ben Stokes starting today itself, but the England all-rounder is currently serving his quarantine regime having travelled from New Zealand. RR might want to bring back young Yashasvi Jaiswal in place of an underwhelming Robin Uthappa, citing the absence of off-spinners in the Mumbai Indians line-up.
Probable XI: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler (wk), Steven Smith (c), Sanju Samson, Mahipal Lomror, Riyan Parag, Rahul Tewatia, Tom Curran, Shreyas Gopal, Jofra Archer, Jaydev Unadkat
