The ECS Netherlands T10 game played by Punjab Rotterdam saw four siblings take the field together.
The European Cricket Series (ECS) T10 2022 tournament being held in the Netherlands threw up a major surprise as four siblings, including a triplet, was seen taking part for one team.
The quartet of brothers, with three of them born on the same day, all played one of the ECS clashes held in the Netherlands on Tuesday (April 12).
The quartet was introduced to the world with an amusing interview clip posted on the official European Cricket Network Twitter handle.
Four Zulfiqar brothers, including triplets Saqib, Asad and Sikandar, and Rehmat combined forces for a team named Punjab Rotterdam.
The game of cricket is used to brother duos. Be it Australia’s Steve and Mark Waugh, Zimbabwean Andy and Grant Flower or the Pathan brothers Yusuf and Irfan for India on the cricket field. But in the rarest of rare scenes, a triplet and a total of four siblings took part in one contest in ECS 2022 Netherlands.
The Zulfiqar quartet turned out for Punjab Rotterdam against team Voorburg in ECS Netherlands T20 2022 on Tuesday (April 12). Sikander was the star performer – or the only performer – among them for the day, as he blasted a 27-ball 56 at the top of the order for Punjab Rotterdam. Among the other siblings, only elder Rehmat (2) got a chance to bat.
Regardless of the runs or wickets, however, it’s the rarest of rare presence of a set of four siblings on the field that caught the eyeballs, especially as ECS Network made a point to introduce them to the rest of the cricketing world via a feature clip and interview.
“I have scored a lot of hundreds against these guys!”😂

There have been 10 famous brother duos to take the cricket field together and only once that count has reached to a triplet. That triplet featured the Akmal brothers Umar, Kamran and Adnan when they turned out for Pakistan.
Apart from Waugh, Flower and Pathan brothers, the list of brother duos to have famously stepped together on the field are Krunal and Hardik Pandya, Albie and Morne Morkel, Hamish and James Marshall, Shaun and Mitchell Marsh, Brendon and Nathan McCullum, Ireland’s Kevin and Niall O’Brien, and Australians David and Michael Hussey.
