After two action-packed days, we move on to the third day. Here’s the full round-up of all the key moments and performances from Day 3, Round 5 of the Ranji Trophy.
In the Madhya Pradesh vs Kerala match, Sachin Baby and Baba Aparajith both scored unbeaten half-centuries for Kerala. At the end of Day 3, Sachin Baby was not out on 85 off 170 balls, with eight fours and one six, while Baba Aparajith remained unbeaten on 89 off 107 balls, hitting 10 fours and two sixes. Kerala were 226/3 and led by 315 runs.
In the Uttarakhand vs Gujarat match, Urvil Patel scored a half-century in the second innings. He made 58 runs off 82 balls, including four boundaries. Gujarat set a target of 344 runs, and Uttarakhand ended Day 3 at 43/0, still needing 301 more runs to win.
In the Tamil Nadu vs Uttar Pradesh match, Rinku Singh remained unbeaten on 98 at the end of Day 3. He faced 156 balls and hit nine fours and three sixes. Uttar Pradesh were 339/6 and still trail by 116 runs.
During the Vidarbha vs Baroda match, Darshan Nalkande from Vidarbha took four wickets in the second innings. Baroda were 73/5 at the end of Day 3.
Abdul Samad hit a century in the Jammu and Kashmir vs Hyderabad match. During the second innings, he came in to bat at No.5 and scored a hundred. He walked in when the team was 95/3 and is still unbeaten, having already hit nine fours and six sixes. In the first innings, he scored 34 runs. Jammu and Kashmir are well ahead in the match as they are closing in on a lead of 400 runs.
Shahbaz Ahmed, during the Bengal vs Assam match, came in to bat at No.5 in the second innings and scored 101 off 122 balls, including 11 fours and two sixes. He has been in great form this season with his all-round abilities. In the previous match, he scored 86 runs and took seven wickets in the second innings. Before that in his first match of the season, he took a six-for against Gujarat.

Shreyas Gopal, during the Karnataka vs Chandigarh match, took seven wickets in the first innings. After enforcing the follow-on, he took three more wickets in the second innings as Karnataka won by an innings and 185 runs. With the bat, he also scored 62 runs in the first innings. He has four half-centuries to his name this season. In his first match of the season against Saurashtra, he also took an eight-for.
In the same Karnataka vs Chandigarh match, Manan Vohra representing Chandigarh scored 106* in the first innings.
