Can Adelaide Strikers win the STR vs REN BBL encounter on home turf?
Difficult one to predict since their last outing was a very close affair and despite losing, the Strikers could turn the screws on Renegades at home. But the win shall still count morally and give Renegades a sense of confidence and an edge ahead of the contest. They would still need to play really well, though, to defeat the Strikers in their den.
1. Rashid Khan (9.5 credits) – By his great standards, Rashid didn’t have the best of previous outings against the Renegades, conceding 30 runs of his 4 overs with a wicket. But Rashid remains a fruitful captaincy choice considering his great form and ability. He was exceptional for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in IPL 2021, taking 18 wickets at 6.69 runs an over.
2. Zahir Khan (8.5 credits) – Afghanistan left-arm wristspinner Zahir was magnificent with the ball for Renegades last match. His spell of 3/24 was instrumental in Renegades eventually managing to restrict the Strikers and come out triumphant by 2 runs.
3. Mackenzie Harvey (8 credits) – It was Harvey on whose shoulders the Renegades batting unit managed to cross past the 150-mark in the game against Strikers. The batter scored a fifty (56 off 46) to keep the Renegades innings going. He was the only batter from either side to make a fifty on the night.
1. Will Sutherland (8.5 credits) – right-arm quick Sutherland is still very young in his T20 career but showed encouraging signs in the match against Strikers, taking 2 wickets for 13 off his 2 overs.
2. Daniel Worrall (8.5 credits) – Worrell was one of the positives for Strikers in the last match, picking up two wickets in his miserly four-over spell where he gave away only 26 runs.
3. George Garton (8.5 credits) – Another of Strikers’ fighters with the ball, Garton also bagged two wickets in his spell, giving away just 23 runs off his four overs. The English bowler will be hoping to continue his good run.
