World Cup’s most highly-anticipated clash is here when Pakistan locks horns with India in the Match 4 of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2022. Pakistan will have their task cut out as they have never won a World Cup game against India.
Pakistan have a pretty dubious record coming into this game with just 2 wins in 23 games. While they defeated New Zealand in the warm-up game, they were pushed to the wire by Bangladesh. The good news for Pakistan is that their regular skipper Bismah Maroof is back.
India will be running very high on confidence at the moment. While they lost the series to New Zealand, they finished that series with a win and won both their warm-up games too. India has the advantage of being in New Zealand for quite a while and have got acclimatized to the conditions.
This comes as a major advantage as compared to the other teams that have just recently two warm-up games. India had Smriti Mandhana back from her extended MIQ and she was up and running straight away as she scored well in most of the games since. Another good news for India is the return in form of Harmanpreet Kaur who smashed a 100 in the warm-up.
