The 16th game of the Women’s Hundred 2021 will be played between the Oval Invincibles Women and the Welsh Fire Women at Kia Oval, London on August 2nd at 7:30 PM IST.
Oval invincibles had a disappointing game as they suffered their first loss of the season against Northern Superchargers. Chasing just 110 runs to win, the batters couldn’t take the invincibles home. Alice Kapsey, Tash Farranat and Mady Villiers were all good with the ball but the batters will need to step up and show form.
Welsh Fire had a fabulous game as they beat the Manchester Originals by nine wickets quite comfortably. Georgia Hennessey was the pick of the bowlers and Hayley Matthews and Georgia Redmayne ensured that there were no hiccups in the batting as they cruised home.
Welsh Fire will be high on confidence after their victory and will back themselves to make it two wins from two.
Pitch Report:
The pitch here is an absolute belter for batting but there might be some help for the spinners on offer. Any score in 120-130 range will be competitive.
