The CSA One Day Cup kick starts on the 11th March 2022. The first match will be played between the two new teams which are added this season, i.e. North West Dragons and Western Province. There were six teams in the South African domestic circuit but North West Dragons and Western Province are the two new sides introduced in the domestic arena. Both these teams have already made their debut in the recently concluded CSA T20 Challenge and will be eyeing a good performance in the CSA One Day Cup.
Both teams have some good players in their squad and it promises to be an exciting contest between the two sides. The North West Dragons have the likes of Dwaine Pretorius, Heino Kuhn, Senuran Muthusamy, etc who are big names in the South African domestic circuit. Western Province too have the likes of Wayne Parnell, Beuran Hendricks, George Linde, Kyle Verreynne, etc in their side.
Northwest Dragons finished on the 5th spot with 3 wins and 4 defeats in the CSA T20 Challenge while Western Province performed well and managed to reach the semi-finals of the CSA T20 Challenge. Both teams will look to win their first game of the CSA One Day Cup and start their campaign on a winning note.

It’s a good batting wicket at Senwes Park. The ball will come nicely onto the bat and the batters will enjoy their time on the crease. There will be some swing initially with the new ball but the batters are expected to dominate this match.
The average first innings score here is 251 runs in ODI cricket. Chasing teams have won 10 matches out of 17 ODIs played here and teams will look to chase in this game as well.
North West Dragons have a few good all-rounders in their side but other than that their team doesn’t seems to that balanced. They were average in the CSA T20 Challenge. Western Province, on the other hand, looks much more balanced and has a very strong and deep batting unit. Western Province are expected to win this match.
