Brisbane Heat will be facing Melbourne Renegades in their next match of the Big Bash League (BBL) 2021-22 on Monday (December 13).
The two teams will be aiming for a win at the Carrara Oval in Queensland. The heat will be looking to win and put the narrow defeat in the last match against the Perth Scorchers behind them.
For Renegades, it will be an opportunity to enter the winning ways, having gone down heavily against the Adelaide Strikers in their previous BBL 2021-22 encounter.

Pitch Report: Flat surface offering batters a fine opportunity to fuel their runs tally.
Will Chris Lynn be back to his best for Brisbane Heat in the HEA vs REN BBL game?
Brisbane Heat do look the happier placed of the two sides before this game. While they only narrowly conceded their last fixture versus the Scorchers, the Renegades came crushing down by 49 runs versus the Strikers. The Heat will also be holding advantage of their home conditions in Queensland.
1. Chris Lynn (10 credits) – Lynn has missed out in the tournament so far but remains a dangerous prospect with the bat for the opposition. The Brisbane Heat aggressor made 458 runs at 35.23 per innings with a strike-rate of 154.72 in the last summer’s edition of the BBL.
2. Kane Richardson (9 credits) – Richardson has had a very strong start to the tournament. The Renegades pacer has taken 5 wickets in his first two games while conceding just seven runs an over. Richardson’s strong form makes him a fruitful captaincy pick at this stage.
3. Xavier Barlett (8.5 credits) – Barlett showcased his allround prowess in the last game against the Scorchers. The Brisbane Heat pacer bowled a fine spell of 1/34 in the first half before playing a fighting hand of 34 not out in the run-chase.
1. Sam Heazlett (8.5 credits) – Heazlett, the Brisbane Heat batter, had got his innings off to a super quick start against the Scorchers. The batter struck 34 runs off his 16 balls but was dismissed prematurely on the next ball. Heazlett couldn’t last the distance but showcased enough promise and form to be a handy budget pick.
2. Cameron Gannon (8.5 credits) – Gannon was one of the better performers with the ball for the Heat in their loss versus Scorchers. The pacer took 2 wickets for 32 off his four-over spell and helped keep the opposition down to 157/6.
3. Reece Topley (8.5 credits) – Topley, the England left-arm pacer, bowled with good pace and rhythm in the last match, securing a three-fer in Renegades’ defeat against the Strikers. If Topley continues to execute it nicely with his left-arm angle, he is expected to chip away regularly at the wickets column.
