On the 11th of January 2022, The Gloucestershire Cricket announced that they were delighted to sign the Pakistan pace bowler who would now play in all formats of cricket for The Shire for the first few months of the 2022 season, up until the end of the Club’s participation in the T20 Vitality Blast tournament group stages. At the time, Naseem Shah seemed delighted to sign up for the county side: “I’m extremely happy to be joining Gloucestershire and can’t wait to experience playing in English cricket for the first time. I’m excited for what we can achieve as a team next season and will use all my skills to help Gloucestershire challenge for silverware across all formats.”

He would also go on to showcase his skills in the batting while 19 off 40 balls which contained two fours and a maximum to his name. He would eventually be dismissed but it is fair enough to say that he enjoyed his time while playing that game.

Meanwhile, in his International Career, Naseem Shah was last seen in Pakistan’s squad during their test series against Australia where his performance was average with him picking 6 wickets in the three matches. This was the first series for Australia in Pakistan in over two decades where Australia would go on to win the 3 match test series 1-0 and the one-off T20I while Pakistan ended up winning the ODI series 2-1.
