India beat West Indies convincingly by 44 runs in the second ODI to clinch the ODI series. In a game which swung back and forth a bit, India were under pressure when Odean Smith and Alzarri Joseph put on a late fightback to bring the Windies close.
With India needing to sneak in overs of spin in between, the onus was on Rohit Sharma to get his captaincy moves spot on – something he had done all night really well.
In the midst of this cauldron we had an interesting moment when Rohit Sharma was seen shouting at Yuzvendra Chahal who wasn’t getting to his fielding position quick enough.
In very Mumbai-style Hindi, Rohit was heard having a go at Chahal, trolling him heavily for not getting to his position quickly.
“Ek kaam Kar, peeche jaa. Kya Hua bhaag Kyun nahi raha theekse? Chal udhar bhaag (Do one thing, go back..what happened? Why aren’t you running properly? Run fast and go there),” Rohit shouted.

Rohit Sharma later said after the game that the team “doesn’t mind losing few games by trying new things because it’s important to look for long term”.
“Winning a series is good to feel but we faced lots of challenges, the partnership between SKY and Hooda after losing early wickets, that is what we need, performing in tough situations”.

Rohit Sharma’s captaincy, and especially field settings, came in for special praise during the game with analyst and commentator Ian Bishop lauding him for continuously setting attacking fields.
Bishop felt that the key element that was evident from Rohit Sharma’s captaincy so far was his willingness to be attacking with his bowling changes and field settings.
