In a fiery battle between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators, things went out of hand as Sohail Tanvir and Ben Cutting rekindled an old rivalry. After smashing Tanvir for a six, Cutting was seen engaging in an aggressive act, giving him the middle finger, with both hands nonetheless.
Tanvir replied in kind as viewers watched the scenes in stunned silence. The cause of the middle finger war was unclear in what seemed like an unprompted gesture until a few on social media recalled the two exchanging middle fingers during the Caribbean Premier League way back in 2018.

Here, in the PSL, Cutting smashed Tanvir for a hat-trick of sixes and then added a fourth in the over – the penultimate of the innings – and was seen giving Tanvir the middle finger with both hands.

Later next over, Cutting was out caught by Tanvir and the veteran Pakistan seamer returned the act – giving the Australian the same gesture.
