The Strikers are searching for a change in fortune, having lost 5 of their 6 games thus far in the tournament. They’re just above the Melbourne Renegades on the table, and with this game marking the end of their halfway journey in this season’s BBL, there isn’t a better time to get some momentum.
Sydney Thunder hasn’t been playing the best of cricket themselves, but they got a big win in their last game which should boost their confidence. They defeated the table-toppers Perth Scorchers and ended their winning streak in the tournament, courtesy of some big performances from Sam Billings and Jason Sangha. They will enter the game with more confidence and will be looking to go further closer to the top two positions.

It’s a typical Australian summer on Friday, no drastic weather conditions to stop the game whatsoever. The temperatures will remain a tad on the higher side, going as high as 36 during the early afternoon period, but it should be around the late 20s when the game starts.
Adelaide has been a great ground to bat first this season, with batters struggling to deal with the wear and tear in the second innings. Any score in excess of 160 should be good enough to defend on the day.

The suggestion for fantasy managers will be to pick a team predominantly from the Thunder unit as they have the better options, even for the multiplier roles.
Sam Billings: His explosive 67 in the last game helped Thunder defeat the impregnable Scorchers, and he has 237 runs in 6 knocks at a strike rate of 153.90. He is an ideal captaincy option for small leagues.
Alex Ross: Fantasy managers can take a gamble with Alex Ross as captain in mega leagues, who has scored 181 runs in the tournament at an average in excess of 60. He has shown great form and can chip in with big contributions.
Rashid Khan: The Afghan all-rounder is one of the few shining beacons of hope for the Strikers, who has picked up 10 wickets in 6 games for the franchise. He can be a good vice-captaincy option.
Jason Sangha: This young batter chipped in with a fifty in the last game alongside Billings, and has 142 runs in the tournament thus far at a strike rate of 136. He costs just 8 credit points.
Matthew Gilkes: He hasn’t received a lot of good opportunities to prove his worth, but has registered 119 runs in 6 knocks thus far and is a top option for just 8 credit points.
George Garton: George Garton, who briefly appeared in the IPL as well this season, has had an impressive outing thus far with 6 wickets in five games, and costs just 8.5 credit points.
