The first T20I between West Indies and Australia will be played at the Darren Sammy International Stadium, St. Lucia on July 10th at 5:00 AM IST.
West Indies were beaten at home by South Africa in the five-match T20I series 3-2. Kieron Pollard and his men will be keen to begin the series on a good note and continue the exciting brand of cricket that they have delivered so far. Evin Lewis was brilliant with the bat while Obed McCoy was impressive with the ball.
Australia are without a number of star players who opted out of the tour and will be considerably weaker than what they would be at full strength. This would certainly be a golden chance for West Indies to secure a series win against Aaron Finch and his men.
West Indies will start as favourties to win the first T20I against a relatively weak Australian side.
Pitch Report:
Pitch here is generally good for batting but the surface might get slower as the game progresses and spinners might come more into play.

Captain: Aaron Finch
Finch is arguably Australia’s best batsman from the current squad and his T20I record is phenomenal. He will back himself to score heaps of runs.
Vice-captain: Evin Lewis
Against all odds, Evin Lewis was at his destructive best against South Africa and was instrumental in West Indies winning a few games in the series. He is also our captain in the Mega League.

Captain: Evin Lewis
Vice-captain: Andre Russell
Andre Russell showed glimpses of what he is capable of against South Africa with both bat and ball. He will once again be the centre of all the attention.
